I was
clueless where to start with learning to draw but I wanted to do it
my way - without being judged or left feeling incompetent.
Is
that how you feel, too?
There
are many successful self-taught artists around and it's not too late
for you to be one!
Remember
that everything you do must make you happy otherwise there's no point
in doing it.
So,
when you draw, draw things that
appeal to you.
We
are all at different stages of learning so just pick something that
interests you most:-
- Use ready-made tutorials like how to draw a chick
- Read the different ways to teach yourself to draw
- Try this simple exercise to sketch a rose
Personally,
I loved practicing the drawing
templates because
they showed me the bones of a drawing and made it look do-able.
Date
your work so you can see how much improvement you have made over a
period of time. The self-satisfaction you get from that is your
encouragement to continue.
You Can Draw
I
drew this picture when I first started.
I'm
happy to say I've improved a lot since then!
C'mon,
you can draw, just as surely as you can sign your name.
